      Dracula Slot Review

The novel of ‘Dracula’, now a classic, Gothic horror story, was published in 1897, authored by Bram Stoker. The story tells the tale of Dracula’s attempt to move from Translyvania, Romania to Carfax Abbey, England in order to find new blood and spread his undead curse. Other characters are introduced along the way, one or two of which are clearly evident in this game, while others are completely unique to the slot, thereby allowing a merger of the classic tale with some new elements. And although Stoker may not have invented the vampire, he did define its modern day form, with the novel being the basis for many theatrical, cinematic and television interpretations. Netent took this one step further, teaming up with Universal Studios in a collaborative effort to bring you this amazing online video slot. It’s exceptionally visually pleasing, provides authentic and often times scary audio features, and has compelling game play to make it an all around wonderful addition to the developer’s catalogue.

      Dracula Is Watching You!

This game is presented to you in only the highest quality graphics, and as such, you’ll be able to spin the reels while a very animated Dracula watches on from the left side of them, taking note of your every move. The layout of this game offers up five reels and four rows, giving a slightly larger-than-average slot product. On its reels, you’ll find various different icons, starting with the most obvious being Dracula himself and his lady love interest, probably Mina Harker from the story. Other characters which have been added will no doubt become the vampire’s lunch at some point, including a drunk man clutching a bottle of wine, a beggar asking for more money and a pretentious-looking woman with her well-groomed dog.

As well as its imagery and lay out, the game has been infused with 40 separate pay lines, all of which are fixed in position. However, all players can alter their bet around, by using the relevant buttons at the bottom of the screen. This includes being able to change the coin value around before its minimum of $0.01 up to its maximum of $1 per line, as well as the ability to alter the bet level from between one and 10. This, therefore, allows you to play a maximum overall wager of $200 per spin, and this level can be instantly reached by utilising the ‘Max Bet’ button. Furthermore, you can spin up to 1000 consecutive times at the same wager amount with the ‘Auto Play’ button.

      Features to Die For!

There’s plenty of additional features included in this product, which starts with its wild symbol. This is represented by the bloody ‘W’, and this can appear anywhere on reels two, three and four in the base game only. It will substitute for all other icons to form a winning combination.

There’s also a freespins round included as well, which is triggered by the stacked icons that appear on reel two and reel four. These are icons of Dracula and Mina, with the former on the second reel and the latter on the fourth. These need to appear in full, thereby covering the entire reel, in order for the round to be activated, and upon doing so, you’ll be granted 10 freespins. During this round, there is also a stacked wild icon, which is of Dracula and Mina embracing. Should this appear fully on the third reel, you’ll be rewarded with an extra two freespins, as well as getting to experience its wild qualities.

Perhaps one of the game’s best additions is its ‘Bat Feature’. This will occur randomly during the main game and on every spin during the freespins round. When it comes into play, you’ll see Dracula transform into a colony of bats, which will then swoop across the reels, turning several icons in a cluster into the same one. Wilds are also included in this possibility, and this thereby enhances your chances of creating a winning combination.

A Game with Some Real Bite!

It’s one thing to take a theme and create a game around it, but it’s completely another to work with a film studio in order to present the best possible version of such a game. And this one has it all. Not only is it visually appealing, but it incorporates some thrilling music, animations that will chill you along the way and expertly incorporated features. There’s nothing negative to say about this one, it’s simply one of our all time favourites.
